Furthermore new version includes considerable number of updates to the wide already existing content of KnowPulp learning environment like CTMP production, paper grades, biorefinery, and water and effluent handling. The system contains more than 550 separate areas of study, over 6000 images, 200 videos, many animations and simulation models. KnowPulp is developed as a joint effort of key players in the Finnish forest industry. Information is available on the products of over 100 key players in global chemical pulp industry.

AEL has purchased KnowPulp and KnowPap learning environments from VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland) on 1st july 2011. AEL is Finland’s leading provider of technical training and has wide contact surface to the actors of the forest industry.

Prowledge cooperates with AEL and will continue the developing and maintenance of systems.

Sulfur/Sodium simulation model have been published after mill evaluations. It is available to customers at a very competitive price. It can be tuned to each mill's situation very easily; we can do the tuning according to your mill data or guide you to do it yourself.

The Sulfur/Sodium balance simulation model is an efficient tool to clarify factors affecting S/Na balance in a pulp mill. Mill-specific information can be pre-programmed easily. The model can be used e.g. in teaching, trouble-shooting and testing alternatives.
